Kuta: Officials at Kerobokan prison have confiscated 1.4 kilograms of marijuana belonging to three inmates in Block 1.
The drugs were seized during a regular raid on Friday morning at 1 a.m.
The prison warden, I Gusti Ngurah Wiratna, told Bali Daily on Friday that the 19 officials involved in the raid also found sharp weapons, liquor and other prohibited goods.
The marijuana belonged to three inmates identified as RS, 32, S, 49, and CP, 36.
“We have reported the case to the Badung police and delivered the evidence to the police,” the warden said.
Adj. Com Beny Aryanto, head of Badung police precinct, said he appreciated the prison’s cooperation in exposing the contraband cases there.
“The police will follow the case up immediately,” Aryanto said.
