BALINESE police are investigating the 12- hour torture and murder of a prisoner by other inmates in the jail where Aussie drug smuggler Schapelle Corby is being held.
Police asked why prison guards did not stop the extended torture of the inmate, a 28-year-old man who had been in Kerobokan Prison for one day, by 13 prisoners.
The motive was a long-standing grudge between the man and one of the 13 who tortured him, police said.
